Important Update for CCS Families

Dear CCS Families,
Last night, the Catawba County Board of Commissioners voted to move ahead with the merger of the three public school districts. At this time, there are no immediate changes for students or school operations.
We know this news may bring questions and uncertainty. Please know that our focus remains on your children—each one more than a seat in a classroom, but a unique learner with goals, talents, and potential. Our schools will continue to operate as normal, and our teachers and staff will be there each day supporting students just as they always have.
The next step of the merger process is for the State Board of Education to review and vote on the Catawba County Merger plan. If the State Board of Education approves the Catawba County merger plan, we are committed to working closely with our fellow districts, community, and local leaders throughout the proposed transition—keeping students at the center of every decision and advocating for the programs and opportunities that make our schools special.
We will continue to share updates as more information becomes available. Thank you for your trust and partnership in supporting our students.
