Principal’s Message

It is with great joy and pride that I welcome you to a new school year at Maiden Elementary! As your principal, I am honored to serve a community where relationships run deep, and the heart of our school beats with tradition, character, and a strong sense of family.
At Maiden Elementary, my vision is to cultivate an environment where every student feels seen, supported, and celebrated. We believe that when relationships are strong, learning is meaningful. That’s why we place a high value on connecting with our students, families, and one another—because true learning happens in the context of trust and care.
We are a school rich in tradition, and we cherish the practices that have helped shape our identity over the years. At the same time, we are committed to building new traditions that reflect our growth and prepare our students for the ever-changing world ahead. By embracing both the old and the new, we ensure that our students are equipped not just with academic knowledge, but with the confidence and character needed to face their future.
Our focus on family values and outstanding character serves as the foundation for everything we do. Together—with our staff, students, and families—we are creating a culture where kindness, responsibility, and resilience are not just taught but lived out every day.
Thank you for being part of our Maiden Elementary family. Here's to a year of learning, growing, and celebrating all that makes our school truly special.
Warm regards,
Shannon Plemmons
