Catawba County Schools, North Carolina is seeking bids from General Contractors for the above
referenced project.

Project Description: The project involves the construction of a new, approximately 90,000 sq. ft.
elementary school including playfields, walking track, car and bus parking, and the demolition of
the existing Maiden Elementary School.

Mandatory Prebid Meeting: A Mandatory Prebid meeting for all bidders will be held on July 14,
2022, at 3:00 p.m. in the Maiden Elementary School Media Center, 201 North Main Avenue,
Maiden, North Carolina 28650. Prospective prime bidders and demolition subcontractors are
required to attend.

Bid Submittal and Opening: Owner will receive sealed lump sum bids until the bid time and date
at the location given below. Owner will consider bids prepared in compliance with the
Instructions to Bidders issued by Owner, and delivered as follows:

• Bid Date: July 28, 2022.
• Bid Time: 2:30 p.m., local time.
• Location: Catawba County Schools Center for Administrative Services, Conference, Room #3, 2285 North Anderson Avenue, Newton, North Carolina 28658.
• Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud.

Printed Procurement and Contracting Documents: Obtain after June 28, 2022, by contacting
Holland & Hamrick Architects, P.A. One complete set of documents will be provided to prime
bidders only, upon deposit of $150.00 made payable to the Owner.

The Catawba County Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to
waive informalities and irregularities.
